History of DGHAUNTS

The “D” & “G” in DGHaunts are Duane Johnson and Gigi Geoffrion.

Seven years ago Duane Johnson started having Halloween parties for his family and friends. It was more for his two girls, Jenny and Caity, so that they could invite their friends and the parents could socialize. His decorations were small at first, and then he started getting more into it, buying his first major prop, a large T-Rex head made directly off the mold from the Jurassic Park movie T-Rex.

Gigi Geoffrion always was a Halloween nut. A horror movie buff, she has every horror movie known to man in her DVD movie collection. A few of her all time favorite characters include Michael Myers from the movie Halloween, Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Pinhead from Hellraiser, and of course all the classic movie monsters, especially Dracula, Frankenstein and his beautiful bride. Even as a child she would watch these classic monster movies, while her brother Dave peeked through the blanket or hid behind the couch.

Duane and Gigi met when her sister Michele started dating Duane, and they decided to join forces with their collections of Halloween props. Now every year they travel to the biggest Halloween convention in the world located in Chicago, to add to their growing collection of props and effects.

The annual DGHaunts Halloween party is something they look forward to every year. Setup for the party starts the week before the big night and the entire Geoffrion, Webber, and Johnson families get involved. We do everything possible to provide to our families and friends a fun and memorable night. J It’s a time for everyone to get dressed up, dance, drink, eat and socialize with our extended families and friends.

An electrician by trade, Duane owns his own business, Artistic Lighting and Electric.Gigi has been in the technology industry for 13 years and is a QA Director at Yahoo!
